It's spring now, back on the road.

Taxed the car today, washed and out for a nice drive with Mrs Hutch. Rare to have time alone without our monkeys.

First time out with CSL's and the strut brace. Ride def worse than with 224's, but looks much nicer :D

Tried to avoid all the puddles, but a few roads had water streaming from one side to other so car needs a wash again :headbang:

No tax disc, and the online database still said SORN'd so was a little worried, but took my oriented internet receipt just in case, although doubt it would have helped. Online database should be up to date though, was done 24 hours ago.

Let's just hope the sunshine is here to stay.

Spring is officially almost 3 weeks away (I'm a winter baby, born on 12th March).

You must be using the BBC's definition of 'spring' :poke:

Question is, did you use the roof covers :D

Didn't think about them until I was filling up and was looking at the roof. Will put them in the boot tomorrow. Next time I take the car out I will see them as I have to disconnect the CTEK.

Can I join next time? I'll bring the camera and everything! (maybe even a scottish bloke, and after speaking to Jan today, Jan too!)

Of course Rob, do you have to bring the scottish bloke though

Surely not in the shorts ... :o

Could do with a run as well, the M has not moved this year :D

I nearly didn't both to tax yet with the shite weather, but with the budget this month it's only going to go up.

Meh - :worthless:

Interesting about the CSLs and strut brace. Our cars are coupe/roadster siblings. How did the ride and handling compare to the 224s without strut brace?

I would say it felt more like my old car with run flats. Ride seems more crashy and seems to tramline more.

Cheeky fecker :poke:

I may be able to manage a sneaky Sunday morning hoon in late March / early April if I plan it right :ninja: You may be lucky and be treated to the shorts - they'll start to come out when the clocks change 8)

Glad you've decided to just get her back on the road, best kind of therapy. I'd better get those 224s off you pronto before you change your mind...

Me and Jem planned the last few - someone else's turn now

Don't worry Jan, I've done a few before, and I don't miss the lewes tunnel when passing

Our splinter group took the tunnel as I was at the front of it :D
