It’s gone dark

It’s 14.00 hrs on the 16th Oct 16 and it’s so dark I need the lights on in the house. The street lights have come on as well - We are on the edge of the impending storm.
It’s as dark as it was on the eclipse - like a sepia toned photograph!

It’s all due to dust from the Sahara.

Quite sinister looking!

Photo? PHOTO? :worthless:

Assuming you're not in a storm shelter or holding the roof on yet :o

Weird colours around here and the cars are covered in sandy dust marks after a shower earlier.

Know what you mean - we had a big storm come over when I lived near Northallerton looked like the sky had turned green

Just turned the lights on and the garden solars have just come to life. Very, very dark at 15.13 hrs.

Aren't you folks getting the edge of the Hurricane that's hitting Ireland?? It's a Level 2 so not real crazy but it's still a nasty storm. A lady just got killed when a tree blew over on her car... be careful.

Strange here too in the south east. As you said, it's like being in a sepia photograph :o

It started off as a blood red sun, and now the entire sky is orange and it's very dark in the house.

Been a good day over here in East Anglia went into town earlier with the top off - 21.5C and dry. Even managed to cut the lawn but its starting to get a bit gloomy now; we've had the red/orange sun and starting to get a little breezy now

I was in Durham today , it looked like the end of the world , it was even darker coming back over the a66 with the fog then I just suddenly drove out of it and it was sunny and everyone was driving around with their roofs down on the m6 !

Started off today playing golf in 20 degree heat and a bit blowy, ended up at 2:30 hanging on to the trees just to stay upright - boy it was windy! Got back as the impending apocalypse was just about to start. Then nothing happened.

Where are you?

Beautiful end of days stuff up here in Chester

Wish I’d photographed the sun.

Great spectacle
