Indeed a lovely looking car. I've been looking at the below recently. I'm just not sure about the darker walnut (or whatever BMW call it in the 6) colour, looks a bit like poo on the pictures.

Oooh yeh that is poo brown
The walnut is nice but I was on about a dark tan colour (not dark brown) would look even better.

Defo walnut Kansas leather. Yes it's 8mm higher, either that or ditch the 19s which was not an option. My fillings were dropping out!

Many thanks for the kind comments

Going on a hoon tomorrow all being well, got a few hours free to explore the new engine

Hoping at least half with the roof down

:driving:

I went from a 2.3 to the 2.8 what a difference - only down side was the sound at low speeds - 2.8 has a unique sound under hard acceleration - enjoy

Interesting to see manual seats, when do they become electric on the E89? Is that from the 3.0 onwards?

I am surprised as I thought that was generally on the more entry level cars that everything was manual.

No. They are manual on mine too, though is a high spec 3.0. Its the first Zed of 6 that wasn't will electric seat. Cut backs...

at least it saves a little weight and they wont go wrong.

How much is it to add electric seats as an option when buying the car?
I dont see the point in spending hundreds when the seat will probably never be moved for the average owner.
Between my wife and I we only need to adjust the height of the seat and the rear mirror.

The problem with manual seats is that they have limited adjustable settings, whilst the electric ones have infinite steps.

On manual seats I can often not get the perfect position whilst with electric ones I can.

Not to mention that when you go in the garage, every mechanic always seems to feel the need to adjust everything annoyingly enough.

To the OP - lovely colour combo, must have been great on a day like today to have the top down
