Be really careful with those valve covers, personally I'd never fit metal ones again after having to dremel off a set in the past, several mates have had the same experience as well.

There is/was also a similar issue with fitting metal caps to vehicles with tyre pressure sensors, that's worth checking out too just to be sure, it's a lot of time if you have to get the cutter out.

Blue side lights? :thumbsdown:
 
I prefer the metal caps that come from BMW as standard - they don't stand out (as tyre valve caps really should not!), but don't look cheap like the plastic ones, and they don't corrode and weld themselves on.
 
I think those metal valve caps are too bulky. I use normal size metal caps. I do have a set of anti-theft caps, but do use them now because of their size.
 
I have those metal M caps, but mine are the locking version. Have taken one or two off since fitting (5/6 weeks ago) and they came off fine.
 
Just to clarify, I'm not fitting blue sidelights - I'm refering to blue LED internal lamps to replace the BMW standard yelow variety! Thought it might look cool at night when I unlock the doors and the interier has a blue tinge rather than yellow? :driving:

Thanks for the advise on the valve covers - I will check them weekly to make sure all is ok and will report any problems back here on the Z Forum.

Digging up an old thread here as I'm looking around for mods, one being either a black or chrome kidney grill on an Interlagos Blue MR.
Honestly, I was going to go black, but there's something quite striking and classy about the chrome on blue.
What's other peoples opinions on the chrome grill?
