It's all yellow

My battery is only a few years old,but I'll try charging it,and check its voltage,
I forgot to mention I haven't driven the car for around a month, and this was the second day of use.. so it could be low battery..
But I am sceptical.
But I'm still gonna get a nee reader.
And check the sensors ..
If it ever stops raining.

If you have not driven it for a month, there could be something to it there.
Right now, you don't need the scanner to test the battery. The hidden menu in the Z4 will tell you what the voltage in the battery is. This link is NOT for a Z4, but it works pretty much the same and it is easy to do multiple tests without the scanners. So, being a Saturday, you can play with it ;)

My God I'm having a bad day! You told me that on page 1! I even commented on it.
I blame the current bottle of red. :headbang: :D

Would disconnecting the battery for that length of time not cause other issues. I've read that engine management system can be effected..?
I'm willing to try the disconnection if it clears it.just nervous it may cause a separate issue

It did not do anything to my Z, but that is as far as I can give you any assurance.
I don't know if you have been reading other topics, but the long stand-down for my car shifted it into Transport Mode. So maybe, just maybe, you can start by doing the steering wheel turns.

Not sure my one is in transport mode'as I used it the day before.with no issue and it only came up the day after..admiditly it wasn't used for a month over the Christmas period ,but to be honest you never know with these cars..
I've got Wednesday off do hopefully if it stops raining I can get the wheels off to check sensors.
Been using the car every day hasn't given any breaking issues thankfully

Apart from cleaning them and checking for debris or broken wires etc, there's not an easy way to tell which one is at fault.
Hate to sound like a broken record, but it would be handy to check the codes with a better reader, just to point you to the right one.
No-one nearby that can help out?

Hello again. Purely by coincidence I had to go and jump start the 3.0i that son-in-law is borrowing as his good lady saw fit to leave the lights on overnight.
After I got it started I was left with the same group of yellow warning lights.
Plugged in the Autophix 5900, read the codes, cleared them and all the lights went out.
So now I can definitely say that this reader does reset them all, no problems.

What reader did you end up ordering?

You can check abs sensors with a multimeter to determine which one if any are sending the wrong reading. Haven't done this myself but know someone who has and it worked for him. Just Google check wheel speed sensor with multimeter and should be some guides and YouTube clips

...
+1. So we can compare notes :)
My Creator 310+ is out for delivery right now so it should be here soon. I will post a bit on it as soon as I test it. See how much it can help with my Transport Mode issue (Colb has made it clear it will not fix it, but I can always dream... )

Glad to hear that as I've ordered the autophix 7200.
Awaiting it with bated breath.. :D .
I want to get rid of a glowing dashboard '
I'll post what the results are when I get the reader..

Ok gentleman. Codes read these are the issues...
Seems alot.
Thoughts welcome :headbang:

Steering angle works in conjunction with your wheel speed sensors to calculate when tyres pressure drops and give you warning.

It does tie in with the dashboard errors.

I'd try calibration of the steering angle, your new code reader should be able to do that.

If it won't calibrate or error continues I'd be looking at what needs to be done to change it, I don't have a clue as I've never had the issue myself.

Hi all, I don't mean to hijack the thread but thought I could ask a quick question while we're on topic as it were.
For the second time I had the dreaded Yellow Trifecta of warning lights come on tonight. The last time was just over a year ago caused by a corroded and swollen reluctor ring. As well as the yellow lights as shown here (+ the ABS warning light), the car / engine started to stutter and lurch until I deactivated the DSC and then it drove as normal. New ring and all was well again.
This time, the warning lights have come up again although the car still seems to be driving as normal, which makes me think it might be something else - an ABS sensor perhaps? So, being as I still have one unused reluctor ring left I thought I would get one or two ABS sensors as well before I take it to the mechanic.
I assume that both rear sensors are the same as each other and likewise the front ones, but are the front and rear sensors interchangable?
It would save having to buy two if they were.
Again, sorry to butt in.
Cheers,
Robert.

Another update on my 3 yellow lights..
Plugged in my code reader and did a live feed of wheel speed sensors, all 4 were working when driving occasionally dipping a single mph on some wheels when driving .I'd say that's due to road undulating.
So from that I can assume it's not the wheel sensor.
I cannot erase the error codes for the steering sensor or the DTC both .
My scanner says .
Does not support this function.
So am o right in saying ..
I have to recalibrate steering .to erase these codes..
