It's a wrap

I've had a few annoying scratches on my interior door handles since I got my zed & was quoted £40+ vat by my local car wrapping firm to cover them in vinyl.
Well, I'm not mean but thought that was a lot of money for such a small job so had a go myself.
Only about £7 for a small roll of 3m satin vinyl from ebay & after a swift tutorial from YouTube I had a go

I'm pleased with the results & my handles now look much improved.

Nice job, may attempt this myself, looks odd having silver with gloss black everywhere else!

Can you post up the links to what you bought / the youtube video?

Thanks

Good job  Satisfaction doing little tasks like this yourself. Hopefully it will be durable.

Hi, the link to the video I saw is-http://youtu.be/dYszYRpiNIg
And the ebay item number for the vinyl I ordered is
Quantity 1
Item number 400417219665

Nice that looks really smart!

My handle is also a little rough, may well try this.

Cheers for the links

Ps, I do have a hot-air gun but for convenience sake (& with Mrs smartbears permission) I used swimbo's hairdryer with no issues

Nice one smartbear. I might try the glossy black as this may fit my piano dash better:

Was this plenty for the handles? I wonder if there would be enough leftover to cover the reflectors on the front bumper... Although the are useful from a safety perspective they are a bit of an eyesore.

That's the same sized roll I ordered, I didn't use half of it covering the handles so would be plenty for the front reflectors

Looks good! How are these pieces removed? Are they just clipped in place?

Yes, I used a plastic prise tool from the top to get the handle sliding downwards first & then pulled it away from the bottom edge after it had moved about half inch down.

It's been absolutely fine, with no issues or wear! My whole dash only cost about £25 in wrap so if it ever needs redoing it's very cheap... Though a little time consuming
