It's a wrap!!!

For my steering wheel trim and door pulls, used some 3m di-noc. This is my first attempt at wrapping anything. Just a couple hours spent. By the end it was a lot easier so I'm not sure why anyone would pay someone else to do this for them.

I also got in contact with the local auto upholstery guy who's been around since before I was born. He does work at the ford dealership I work at. He's going to put some new leather on my wheel with red stitching for 300 dollars. I'll be doing that in January.

Pretty pleased about the whole thing...minus leaving the back to the right stem on my toolbox at work.

Why spend $300 on new leather for the wheel, when you can buy a new M sport wheel for not much more $$ and end up with a clearly superior wheel?

BTW, I have one for sale

I didn't know an m wheel was that cheap. I'm def going to look at that and the wood is next. Who here has the experience with removing the wood trim. Has someone made a walk through.

Thanks guys. Does anyone know where I can get a fair price on an m steering wheel in the u.s. and do they include the trim pieces of are they purchased separately. For right now I've just went to the steering wheel with a magic eraser to clean it well.
