My wipers stopped in the middle of the screen whilst on intermittent.

Stopped switched it off and moved the wipers down to the park position by hand and all seemed fine !

Do I have the dirty contact issue or is it something else ?

Could be the start -did you have to stop the car tho?-did you try just turning them off then back on again?

Had to stop the car. The switch had no influence on the wipers initially they just kept wiping even on intermittent the it just stopped.
Switched off and manually reset it seems to be working fine.

Yes would think the grease in the motor housing need cleaning off.
