Hi enuff_zed, i guess I'm at the start of a steep learning curve!! I will avoid any mention of 'you know what' in future posts. Just waiting for the sun to come out then might lose the hard top...or is something to avoid mentioning in the forum 8)

Cheers firebobby. Washed and waxed I'm guessing...yes it has been. It's my first black car and will be looking for suggestions on how to avoid so many water marks after the wash itself. Leather or one of those rubber blades i've seen folk use.

I had thought the wood might be a bit marmite, if you know I mean. I had a mx5 which is no longer and promised myself not to indulge in a 2nd car. So pleased i did. Only 2.0 but fab drive...

I don't read the detailing section on here much, but I did get as far as seeing that a microfibre towel seems to be the recommended thing to use for drying the car after washing.

Since your post I have had a look at posts and seems we might be in the minority with 'wood and whippy' (Not chippy )
I am sure my 2.8 brooklands Capri had a lovely dash binnacle - i have plans to change the zed

Yup, get my vote too, as a multiple Capri (30+) owner including a 2.8i Special for 26 years, and having founded and run Kings Lynn Capri Club for about 15 years.

Cheers Mr Tidy, i am going to see who is local to me and if i can get a ride in a car with non run flat tyres to check out how much of a difference they make. Previous owner spent nearly £800 on pirelli tyres less than a 1k miles ago...but majority on the forum suggest changing them for a better ride. It is pretty 'raw' but I am not going to give myself time to just used to this...then decide.

Capri owners reunited
I just had the one and unfortunately turned into something of a villain magnet. A customer at the time had one and it simply disappeared off their drive one night, i sold mine but often regretted it.
Still, really enjoying the Zed and getting used to it.
