Got my car back. Driver window regulator replaced, oil serviced, roof not broken (a bottle had lodged itself in the back shelf ooops).

A great drive home but upon pulling up, I could not open the drivers door inside or out. Returned it today to discover the solenoid for the deadlock is knackered so need a new lock mechanism. Made worse by the fact the seat needs to be removed to take the door panel out.

An issue free 5 years has come to an abrupt end :|

x2 - all the locking gubbins is behind the door card... Isn't it ? :?

Bad luck though Mafoo :( Happy to hear you didn't need a new roof motor though. Stop using your car as a dustbin :poke: :D

As the door is locked and there is bugger all room to remove the door panel with it shut. I was told a lot of garages dont do this but damage the panel in the process.

I sympathise..... my wallet is £350 lighter, as I have just had to have rear discs and pads replaced after a month of ownership :(.

Haha at dustbin comment. I actually used a bottle to prop up a battery solar panel while away. It came away and rolled into the recess......my excuse anyway.

Things come in 3's. I suppose the 3rd was someone pinching my fual cap ha.

Pinching yer fuel cap !
WTF is up with those Old World Thieves ?
Is there a market for that ?

I thought my petrol filler door locks when the doors lock (I think - Better check this )

ps ..Did you check where the water bottle was stuck ?..
Could be the end of your rainbow ...Just sayin'

Well I have it back. Another £150 for the supply and fit of a new lock assembly (inc. Removing seat). That was one expensive month.

One quick hoon later.......roof down and blowing the cobwebs of a freshly serviced straight 6........pushing her through the gears......all worth it
