Took the battery to EuroCrapParts with the bank statement and click-n-collect order sheet and they tested the battery for me.
Almost instantly the bloke said "yep.. say's replace battery so it's dead".
Replaced battery and all seems to be well again.
If I get home without it dieing on me, it's certainly improved the situation!
However.. I've been struck YET AGAIN by this f*cking cursed car..
Get it onto the street, drive 300 yards and the red tyre warning light comes on.
Get out and check - completely flat front tyre (brand new, less than 1000 mines on it).
Take it to the garage, yep - slit in the tyre wall - new tyre required.
Luckily they have the exact same tyre in stock, unluckily it's cost me ANOTHER £140.
Seriously, if this keeps up, I'd have built a bloody new car by Christmas

Phew ...you are having a bad run ! hope it works for a while now
Well a result on the battery in both being dead and a freebie and no alternator required, so despite being a tyre down you're still well up on the day.
Def a bad run. Trouble is this is the stuff that creates the best trade in cars for someone to pick up. 2 or 3 items and you trade it in, get a new monthly payment of say £300 to £500 and think you did well to get shot
We snapped a fantastic 1 series for my daugher at £1,500+ below book. Must have been horrible to own
Car smelled foul - quick clean of the washer bottle that had gone off
Blower motor squealed - 10 mins and an oil can.
2 bald back tyres and crap rims - set off the forum for £120 and 2 new tyres for £160. Mate fitted them.
Heavy knocking noise - instigated the warranty and had a new dual mass flywheel fitted for free.
Ploughed £500 of the savings into the latest generation front and rear bumpers and it's now mint, with 12 moths warranty and just sailed though its MOT with no advisories
