Just returned to the UAE from 3 great weeks in the UK. Sons wedding (first one off my hands, Mrs J in tears at the ceremony - asked what all that was about and got a slap, perhaps because I was cheering and celebrating; 1 down - 2 to go) and a weeks in the Lakes with Mrs J and the Zed - priceless.
But got off the plane in Dubai yesterday and taxi to the flat. Opened the door and:
1. AC had failed and temperature in the flat 35 degrees
2. Problems with the water supply and no water to the toilets
3. Checked my Jeep Wrangler in the car park and flat front nearside tyre :!:
4. Switched the TV on to find that my current decoder is out of date and I need a new one! Rang the supplier up and the first appointment is 31 August at 4pm :x
So - WILL NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT THE UK AGAIN...... (well not until next time)
