I have read a couple of threads from a few years ago where the subject of ISOFIX and passenger airbag switch was discussed. It would seem that this was an option when new and could be retrofitted. However, I have read that the parts necessary to do this are now no longer available.
My car does not have either, but I am keen to find out if it is still possible to source and fit the necessary parts. Has anyone tackled this recently and successfully installed the switch and fixings?
My lad is 6 and I would like to be able to take him out in the car. I think it is recommended that the passenger airbag/s are switched off if the passenger is under 12 y/o (or 135 cm) - need to check these figures. He also needs a booster seat, which I believe should be fitted into the car with ISOFIX. His current seat is fitted thus into our other cars.
Any advice or experience from other owners?
