Isn't it ironic...

...when you park your (previously) unmarked M135i in a body shop car park and a technician promptly opens the door of another customer's car into your door and dents it. :| Not ironic enough? Ok, what if the other car used to inflict the damage is that of your girlfriend who you were helping to drop off her car for a repair? Outstanding confidence builder. :headbang:

I really wish I could start this week again...

Damn. Feel for you Bradders. I wont say these things usually come along in three's as it sounds as though you've already had too tough a time of it for one day.

I am mentally trying to work this one who was in whose car ...

Either way, nasty surprise.

Girlfriend drives to bodyshop to drop off her vandalised car. I turn up slightly later to give her a lift home and park next to her car. I walk into the reception to meet my GF, at which point I spot a technician opening the door of her car into mine. Ok, first world problems and all that but pretty ironic all the same.

I trust you did not get the "it was already there" response?

It was suggested. After a firm but polite challenge to find another mark anywhere else on the vehicle, they're sending a dent devil type bloke to sort it. It's marked the paint slightly too but I don't want anything resprayed (you can't beat knowing your car is all factory finished) so I'll just live with it. Gah.

I can't believe they even tried to suggest that :o

What a s**t day, hope the week gets better

That's terrible, I hope they were suitably embarrassed?

Spare a thought for a neighbour in our road who picked up his lovely blue coupe a couple of weeks ago. It only appeared up his path for a few days then it disappeared. I bumped into his mum yesterday so asked her where it had gone, she told me he'd only had it for a couple of days and it got run into by a bin wagon. It's in a BMW workshop at the moment being repaired - about £5k worth of damage apparently. What is it with people these days, can they not or do they just choose not to look? It seems to be on the increase, only recently when I was in the wife's car going a round a big roundabout a car coming onto it almost hit me, and I've lost count of the number of times cars have pulled out side roads in front of me lately.
