Is this what the forum calls a ZHP gear knob?

He guys I'm going to replace my gear knob on my e85 facelift 2.5 six speed manual as its worn an spoils the look. Everyone on the forum talks about a ZHP knob as the one to go for but I can't find one for sale anywhere. Is the ZHP the same as the oe 6 speed m leather knob for sale in BMW parts department?

Is this shorter or more weighted than the standard gear knob?
Is it ok to have an m badged gear knob when it's not an m version of the z4? Because I know having an m badge on a car when it's not is "not right"

Yes it's shorter and weighted and feels great to the touch.

As far as ///M badges from what I can work out in my time on the forum it's ok to bolt on as many ///M parts to your non ///M car as long as you DONT put an ///M badge on the boot lid or the wings, Everything else ///M is fine so crack on with no fear of attack just remember NO ///M boot or wing badges :thumbsup:

Plenty have M wheels, it's not an issue.

Looks like the right part - call your local dealer, they may be cheaper. It's a very good mod, about double the weight so does help with the firm box. As does an oil change.
 
That's ok for most people-it's the tawdry M badges on the boot/wings that really lets the side down, that's just tacky :cry:
