[ref]pvr[/ref], that lower wishbone doesn't look corroded to me from your photo?
However, if you're changing the rest..................... obviously consider doing the lollipop at the same time unless they are relatively new.

I always replace with genuine BMW replacement bolts. Never tried anything else, but then I refurb the cars and pass them on, so I'm not likely to be around when they need doing again. :wink:kis said:enuff_zed said:Hub is easy to swap with the only dodgy bit being the knuckle bolt that clamps the strut. I’ve been pondering on this for mine. I’ve (thankfully) removed both bolts. Do you think I can replace the standard part 31306779487
With a titanium bolt? A part of me would die if I refurbed the whole knuckle and at some point I needed to remove the bolt and it sheared.
Interested to know your (and anyone else’s) thoughts?

That could be it. I had one shear before and the last one took a half day of careful heating, turn a bit, repeatkis said:Didn’t know they were zinc coated. Thanks for sharing. I think the UK gets it’s fair share of salt over winter months so probably eats away the sacrificial coating quicker than other areas.
