Is this repairable?

I recently had my flat tyre warning light come on, so i checked the pressures and my front left was little low to i topped it up. Three weeks later the same thing happens so i take a closer look and find this

Seems to loose pressure very slowly so i took it in to kickfit and they say its to close to the edge to repair :( Its only a couple of months old.

I am afraid that on a high performance car I would not want any repaired tyres ...

thats what I'm thinking but i need new rears so i need to replace the lot, not sure what milage i got out of my vred vortis but they didn't last to long, just over a year. Might look at something else.

Would anyone know if i could run 235/40 & 265/35 on my 224s

Agree with pvr.....and as this is verging on the side wall and the 'stress' are when cornering would go for a replacement

Have a look on some of the tyre fitting company sites - Kwik fit, Black circle etc
There is a formula you can use to determine if the defect is in a repairable area.
Basically how near to the edge it is permitted to be
In my opinion looking at your photo there is no chance this is in the permitted area
I agree with the others though, I wouldn't want to repair a high performance tyre anyway

Edit
Have a look here:

he did show me the repair patch that they use and it was quite large.

going to order 4 new tyres as my MOTs soon, get my RTAB done with some limiters and get it aligned as i haven't done it yet since fitting my coilovers

Too close to the edge for sure.

I had one a bit further in that was repaired. Been fine since and i've pushed the limits on it pretty damn far.

How did you find the Vred Vortis? One of the tyres I'm looking at when the Sessantas need to be replaced

There good but my rears haven't lasted as long, but that could be because my commute has change manly to country lanes so I tend to drive a little harder :)
