Is this normal...?

Just got back from a drive and noticed that there appears to be some fluid dripping underneath the car.

It appears to be coming from the back of the engine bay or just underneath where the gearlever is.

The fluid appears to be water but I've never seen it before and I'm slightly concerned...

For reference, the aircon was on for part of the journey if that makes any difference? :scratchhead:

Your thoughts would be much appreciated. :)

That's what I was hoping but I've never noticed it before so thought I'd post on here and use the collective wisdom of the Z4-forum.

Thanks for the swift response.

Will definitely keep an eye on it.

It wasn't an overly long drive (say 40 mins) and the aircon wasn't on for all of that time either.

I've certainly driven the car for longer with the aircon on throughout the journey and never seen this before, hence the concern.

Cheers,

Paul

lawnmower__man my 3.0 used to do it quite regularly after having the air con on, and a fair bit of condensation too, making quite noticeable marks on the driveway.

One day when my wife got home from a drive both of the left wheel wells were dripping as if she ran through a puddle??? Seemed to be some oil in the water as well...
Never happened again so I dismissed it as just a puddle...hmmm?

Thanks Mike - that's good to know.

(Is there a "phew" smiley somehere...?)

And now I'm less concerned about my car, Mike I really think you should sort yourself out with an ///M - you obviously love this place and I think you're wasted on the Merc... :D

He he.... yeah I do love this place (and the ///M) , but after deliberating for so long I'm stuck with the Merc for the forseeable... tin top, slushbox, in-built hairdryers, it's great :hairdryer:
