is it slippery/greasy?

Some people lube their weather seals with a lithium grease. Possibly a previous owner did yours

No, it is not greasy but like a putty

From what I see looks like it is liquid nails eww...
Paid $7k for 2005 3.0i with airbag light on. The car's internal plastic is literally crumbling like cookies lol. I thought a good deal when i bought it I replaced major gaskets in the engine compartment (oil pan gasket, filter gasket, valve cover gasket), also had to replace the radiator, reservoir and other rubber pieces that was cracking and melting :x. The abs module failed as well and had to replace it. Now, the soft top plastics are falling off :!:

Crumbling plastics with cars of our age is something to expect, worse in the hotter climates because of the exposure to UV. The plastics in the engine bay also suffer from repeated heat cycles that degrade the plastic. Sorted a mates air leaks which revealed a cam cover was crumbling around the No4 spark plug well and letting air in which affected the fuel trims. Replacement cover sorted that ok once we found it by smoke testing the vaccum system.

My soft top had something similar to yours but more of a white chalky texture. I left it as is and reinstalled. Haven't had a hard rain to see if there are leaks etc..
