Is this any good guys? (UK)

They were discussing this on PH. I think the consensus was that it was good value, if not premium quality.

But I don't know which end of an engine is up, so don't listen to me!

It'll be just fine for the weekend mechanic that wants to change wheelsa dn do a bit of work under the car with the safety of axle stands, etc.

My only concern would be to ensure when fully closed the trolley jack is low enough to fit under a Zed. On the cheaper jacks they seem to have limited lift, so start off higher for the average saloon height.

My concern with any jack besides being low enough is the force required to raise the car. I want easy and not quick like with the "racing jacks".

That would not concern me on a 2 ton trolley jack lifting the corner of a a light sports car. I have one of this type as a 'spare' and it will whizz the Zed up one handed and take bot wheels off the ground from the front jack point, if I start on a plank to get enough ground clearance!!

I do agree that the race type jacks which are light, quick and better made, but oh so expensive are the best option.

All about money and choices.
