Is this a members car?

I don't know if he's a member on here, but he goes by the username of 'Bishy' on forum.bmw5.co.uk

He's posted quite a bit about it and it's troubles for such a low mileage car. Everything seems to be fixed, but he's fed up of the dealer network and wants out.

It's amazing what can be found on the internet these days!! I'm always in 2 minds about posting anything negative about a car - touch wood the Z4 is fine so far but you never know who's reading, only 1 post on here has unearthed all those problems which I doubt would be mentioned when viewing. Fair enough most were cosmetic issues but I'm sure on other cars a whole can of worms would open up.
:o

To be fair, the only reason I spotted it so quickly was because it was an almost identical copy of mine, if you discount the 15,000 difference in mileage

How does the lighter leather hold up to general day to day use? I've always had black in my cars, just wondering if it shows the dirt or not? It does look good in black cars makes a nice change from a black on black look.

I've had beige leather in a previous BMW and I never had any problems (at least none that I noticed)

The amount of dirt it collects depends entirely on what you put on it - I certainly don't wear my oil/carbon/gunk-covered marshalling overalls in the car.

You've got to keep on top of the cleaning/feeding regime, but even with my 400 mile a week driving it's still only about 10 minutes once a week.

The champagne leather in my old e34 M5 was much better for taking abuse and I only cleaned that every 3 months. The silver-grey alcantara in my other e34 M5 didn't get more than a shampoo & brush once a year.
