How did you pic your username? Is there an interesting anecdote behind it?

Mine simply reflects the first feeling I got when driving my Z.

Can't wait to read the one about 20ducks! Maybe he's a REALLY good hunter! :poke:
 
i was a lil kiddie and some of my other handles use to read mystikal somethingsomethingsomething
 
Way before I ever touched a Bimmer as a 'hobby' car I purchased and built up a CJ10a Flightline Jeep for off road use. It's so rare that everyone who sees it asks what is it? To this day I'm CJ10Jeeper, across far too many sites....
 
When I first started on the internet I had no idea what to call myself. I wanted to be original, not use my name, clever and unique. The first name Ii used was OBSSED (short for obsessed). I was called that by a girl I dated and she thought that I had some compulsive behavioral traits. To this day, I don't know where she got that notion. I used it for a few years but never had the satisfaction of coming up with my own name. I gave it loads of thought and one day I was talking to an old Army buddy of mine (he was a baby killer too). For some reason our unit call sign got stuck in one of my brain cells and decided it met all the criteria, hence: 20ducks.

btw, I have never been, nor am I now a sport hunter. I learned that sport hunting is best left to those that have that desire. I prefer adventure, creativity and adaptability and so my hunting was limited to hunt only animals that carry weapons (of choice) and there is only one winner in the game of hunt.

Also, I believe that Open Carry is an underused crime deterrent. A CCL (Concealed Carry License) is a good thing for any Kansas resident that qualifies. I am proud to be one of them.

My first name is Alan and my last name starts with L. I have been on an awful lot of forums with this handle over the past 8 years or so and just never bothered to change it.

One exception - when I joined Bimmerfest a few years ago after purchasing my wife's X3 I discovered that someone had already claimed that handle so I altered my usual to read ALanLX3.

It is a play on my last name with the Zed influence. Replaced Ss with Zs. But you could probably figure that out by going to my web page. :roll:
 
Just to show how geeky I am I'll tell this story.

Back when Star Wars Galaxy's first came out this was the name it generated for me (I'm not creative enough to make up a name and it wouldn't allow numbnuts). So I liked the name and decided to use it in pretty much all surfing/gaming activities.
 
Mine is an old nickname from school, it kind of evolved from my first name, Peter. Now I use it all over the place.
I'll let you guess how it's linked to my username.
