Is there a reason why?

Hi all -is there a reason why BMW put the weld seam at the bottom of the rear tailpipe?-seems stupid to me as that is where the water is going to sit.

Because it's more visible if it was at the top I would say.

Thanks mate-but with a chrome trim on it all you can see is the weld.
