For my coupe? I don't have the extended storage option but a boot bet is a great thing for spirited driving in any coupe & I wondered if there was a BMW option?
Is there a luggage net available?

Just had a quick shifty on the bay & found this:

It states it's for the roadster & I'm not sure where it would anchor to in the coupe?

If it's like the one for the footwell it will come with self tapping fasteners, you make a small hole with a bradall then screw in the fasteners

ordered this this morning so hopefully it will arrive tomorrow
it's not an e86 part so there's no guarantee it will fit my coupe but we'll see what turns up tomorrow, the boot in the roadster is a different shape at the back hopefully it can be bodged into working.

Maybe they thought coupé owners wouldn't need a net, and haven't put the 'sockets/recesses' in place on ours - after all the Roadster is a much older shape than the coupé.
I thought you meant the side nets which I was looking for .. not found it yet though!
If you mean the side nets for the boot, then you'll have to buy the boot panels specifically for the extended storage pack, as they have a different shape to the standard panels - and have holes/clips for the nets.bluestreak56 said:

I have an one I kept from my old 2001 Audi A3 - haven't found a way to attach it properly, so would be keen to see how it's done if anyone has this fitted.
Have attached it to the roof raisers in the boot then tucked under the floor panel to create a storage area at the back as per pic, but not much use to hold things down.

Ah thanks for that I meant for the former (nets in the side of the boot). I'll check out the cost of that but sounds as though it may not be worthwhile..

got my net on tuesday & got it fitted, 10 mins job really, sorry for the crappy pics but my iphone just can't take them under my flurescent garage lighting unfortunatly
so this is what you get, it's a net for the roadster so us coupe boys don't have the top mounting points to fit it but fear not!
the bottom parts just clip into the rubber straps that hold the warning triangle in like on the roadster, but where the top cleats should screw in we have nothing.
so simply get out the drill & make some holes!
speaking of the cleats to mount the top part of the net, i went to my local suppliers & bout some large washers so there wasn't too much stress going through the small hole n the boot floor:
you can drill through the boot floor quite easily, it's fibreglass covered in carpet & quite strong, drill the holes where you see fit but obviously the further apart they are the more taught the net will be. i wanted mine quite loose so i could get a couple of helmets in there.

I'd say so-take a look in your boot I think the cleat style anchors simply screw in to your existing mounts for your boot carpet.andysat said:
Quite lucky really as the threaded part of them meant I could just put some nuts & washers on them to fit them to my carpeted floor section, note-I only drilled the carpet section NOT the boot floor itself.

I'm thinking about doing this in my e86, just unclear as to where you had to drill.
Was it where the 2 plastic push buttons are, the ones that hold down the carpet?
If so then how did you manage to get the nut and washer on the other side?
