Can you believe BMW are now putting M/// badges on their non M cars?!!! This was on an 428i Msport in a BMW showroom.
 
It's piss annoying. What's more annoying is the one in my local was a 428 and it was 40k on the road! For a pissing 4 cylinder must be mad to buy one.

What's the world coming too

BMW has been very good at getting everybody to spend a fortune on 2 litre diesels too. They must be laughing in to their lederhosen!
 
It devalues the 'm' though. I've got a 5 series m sport and that has the little m badges all over the place.

So have my 1 series, but at least they kepth them off the rear and the sides.

But who knows sales of high performance cars are dwindling and this will get worse and worse like the ///m135 ///m550 etc

90% on the road and it's what people want.
 
Whilst at the dealers last week, I noted that a new X1 (yes, that's not a mistake) now comes with M badges on the front wings. :roll:
 
Nearly took a pic to post some time ago ... In the Celtic Manor hotel at the Welsh Open they had an x3 in the lobby as a sponsor. Diesel .. With an m badge even on the wing of that. Nearly made me vom' on the way to breakfast.

Don't see the problem, who cares so long as the car is decent to drive I couldn't give a monkeys what badge is on it or not, some people get wound up over nothing. In a few years there will be ///M badges on the i3 :lol:

I agree & in this day & age it's only a select few who are happy to throw money at a full on performance car, the rest are happy in a 2.0d with a M badge stuck on it, it's each to their own & I suppose it's whatever makes you happy.
 
I saw a 320 xDrive the other day - same badging. It's a marketing exercise, capitalising on a strong brand - in the current climate, I don't blame them for doing it. Personally I decided I'd go for the model delete option if I ever ordered one, and take them off myself if that still didn't get rid of them. I like the M Sport styling, but personally don't want an M badge on the wing if it isn't one. But it is just a badge, and at least it's not a cheap eBay knock off banged on the rear of a 10 year old shed.
 
With the possible exception of an E92 M3 or E60 M5, I'm not sure I'll be in a BMW when I move on from the Z4M
 
I think this is where Audi have been clever they have as we all know S-line and S then RS . Not sure why BMW don't have an M-Sport logo which is distinct from an M-Power M .
 
I suppose it will be harder to feel special with all the extra badges around
