Is my car mad at me?

It seems that randomly (usually on cold days) my car beeps at me for no reason, flashing the temperature on the dashboard. I've been imagining that it's yelling at me; 'you fool, it's too cold outside, don't drive me', but I'm genuinely curious now.
Why does the car beep and flash the temperature?

Mine beeps at 3 degrees, just to let you know that it could be icey, and that you should be driving that little bit more carefully...

Exactly. This is normal. If you check your manual you will verify it, page 50.

"....Ice warning
If the outside temperature drops to approx. 37.57/36, the computer automatically switches to the outside temperature display.
In addition, a signal sounds and the display flashes for a brief period...."

mine does the some thing, i have the Same car as you also.

It took me a while to figure it out once, but i kinda understood it after the temperature went up and down 3-4 times in a mater of minutes, it was bleeping away so i checked the manual and there it was.

Id thought id broken it or it was moaning at me having the roof down
(Was 3am in the morning 8) )

Another member who does not read the manual...... :poke:

His sexual organs are on the outside and thus this makes him exempt from reading manuals or in other words why read something that I don't need or would understand :fuelfire:

I've saved my employer hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost production just because I read the instructions (and also tell my guys to read the instructions although they rarely listen) and all my organs are where they are supposed to be ....outside :poke: :poke: ......(unless it's reeeeeally cold then who knows where they went ?)

Over here some vehicles have a sign that says "ICE" or similar to avoid having the service writers explain everything 14 times to all the ladies who phoned up asking "what does 3 degrees mean when it flashes on the dash? :headbang:
