Is my car audio "amplified?" Fitting a Parrot kit..

Just ordered a Parrot MKi9000 kit, chose to go for the one without the display, as less to mount/less on show and I can see all the call/music info on my phone.

Question is, is my car "amplified" or not? I have the BMW Business CD & changer, and the menus give me DSP options, so think if I have the "Carver DSP" system. Vin decoder gives the following info re options;

662 Radio Bmw Business CD
672 Cd Changer Bmw For 6 Cds
677 Hifi System Professional

Rather than use the Parrot amp for audio playback, I intend to use the Aux in that I'll be fitting, so I can have decent quality from Deezer, but wondering which SOT lead I need, as there appear to be a couple?

If my car is the Carver DSP, does it actually have a seperate amp as part of that, or the "Hifi System Professional" option? Or can I merely use a std SOT lead such as http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-03...490863?hash=item280334e86f:g:PrgAAOSwHnFVnm-X or do I need one with fully populated connectors, like this; http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/ct10bm05-t-harness-for-bmw-1-3-5

Advice appreciated...

You should find the amp in the well with the battery

Cool, So I'm assuming the head unit just outputs line level to the amp then? In which case I can probably do without having to connect the Parrot to the aux in. Still not sure which SOT lead to get though, any thoughts?
