Car Audio Buzzing

Hi all,

Decided to try one of those Bluetooth audio adaptors in my '03 E85.
Problem is there is some pretty severe humming/buzzing when the device is plugged into the cigarette lighter and the engine is running (sounds perfect when the engine is off).
If I unplug it and run it off the battery, I seem to get a very weak sound.. weaker signal maybe?

I'd rather keep it plugged in to get better sound quality and not have to worry about charging it. Anyone have any solutions to the buzzing? Or if there's a better way of adding Bluetooth audio to these?

Cheers :)

I tried one of these and had the same issue. Intermittently a bit of juggling and unplugging would work, but it was very irritating.

Ultimately I gave in and switched to a BlueMusic adapter, which I’d strongly recommend. It was very easy to fit, even as someone not especially technical, and the sound quality is much better.

Just had a look and that seems like a good solution, but sadly out of stock everywhere. Do you know of any alternatives?
