Took the M out last night for an hour, sedately.... ....tootling through the twisties came up behind a couple of cars, kept well back as I’m fearful of stone chips to my newly painted and polished front end, then we got to a dual carriageway which matey in front in a Saab 93 turbo I think it was, floors it and passes the car in front, up for a bit of fun I dropped to third and sailed past him despite his obvious attempts to keep up..... :evil: ....Came to some roadworks so me chum draws up behind revving....lights go green so I hurled from them leaving him nowhere. Went through lots more twisties, nothing too silly, then cruised as I got behind a couple of cars, got to a roundabout where my new best mate takes to the near side lane, draws past shaking his head like a pit bull had got hold of him waving his fist at me.... :lol: whilst disappearing up the left road....such bravery...

Today I popped out in the 35is, roof down, 50 yards from home in our quiet village I pull out from behind a parked car opposite the village shop to be met by a guy on his touring push bike in the middle of the road, hit the brakes at approx 15mph to which middle of road cyclist yells at me to slow down, so I said, nicely, if I slow down anymore I’ll be walking, a few more “You we’re going to fast’s” I said how fast was I going as the constabulary seem to need radar to tell speed so where was his? So he rides off up the road then a way away shouts f**k off... Charming, right in the middle of a sleepy village, so I shouted to him about how classy he is swearing and is that his best argument, he rides off then shouts that I’m an arsehole.... :lol: this is a guy in his 60’s...so I backed up the road which he really didn’t like, I said hey fella, why don’t you get off your bike and say that to my face, he’s starts shitting himself now, so I said listen fella, carry on like this and you’ll meet someone that has no problem with battering an old man, I’m not going to, I haven’t even sworn or insulted you like you have to me, he obviously wasn’t up for a conversation so I left him to it.

WTF is wrong with some people..?? This guy will get his teeth knocked down his throat at some point by a thug carrying on like that, what a plank... :roll:

I’m lost, I’m not wound up in the slightest, I didn’t wave my fist at anyone nor did I swear or call an old man anything, couldn’t be more chilled. I’m simply surprised at how two people have reacted to situations that didn’t justify it.

It is wrong yes, any confrontation, without sounding like squealing to teacher, has been initiated by others. I’m pretty sure I’ve never started anything, but I’m not the kind to take to being knocked without defending my corner. I’ll give as good as I get.

It’s all handbags anyway but that’s an adult forum.
