Is it possible to upgrade e86 brakes to f80 M3?

Hi All,

I have been gifted a complete set of f80 M3 brakes and calipers. Is it possible to upgrade the e86 to the f80 set? Has anyone got any experience of doing this?

You can buy brackets to fit F80 M3 brakes to E46 M3 hubs but not sure about straight to E86 hubs, which I presume are regular E46. Suggest a bit of research on Google and Ebay etc

Thanks, never thought of looking at the e46 conversion, I'll have a look to see what can be found.

Hi Tom,

There two kind of adapters:
- You have to modify the rear calipers to fit with the adapter, see instagram: e46_s54_m3_touring. He makes the adapters and also modify them; or
- you can use this https://www.phengineers.shop/p/adapterbuchsen-fuer-f-reihe-bremse-auf-e46-m3. I think you dont have to modify the rear calipers.
