Is it me or are FK452s rubbish?

I had FK452s fitted on my Coupe on Saturday. I will echo others' comments on here about the difference to the driving experience. The ride is a lot better - still bumpy but each bump is not nearly as harsh, and tramlining has gone almost entirely.

My only concern is, and I don't know if I was imagining it or not, but the car felt a bit less powerful. I'd describe it as a bit sluggish when trying to power away from stationary or from low speed. I wasn't seeing the traction control at all, but even with the sport button on it just didn't feel quite as responsive as before I changed the tyres. Is this normal for new tyres?

How can changing the tyres possibly make the car sluggish? If you changed like for like (not shot up to 19" or 20" rims) then there is absolutely no difference whatsoever. If there were it would be the Falkens being lighter than Bridgestones and thus it should accelerate quicker.

I can only assume that far less banging, crashing and noise makes you think it's slower
 
I don't know, that's why I asked the question! Like I said, I could have been imagining it, but it just felt a bit less zippy pulling away. I wanted to see if anyone else had thought the same with new tyres or if I'm just going a bit funny...

Yes I changed like-for-like - same tyre sizes etc.I was speaking to a friend in the evening who suggested that new tyres just take a bit of time to bed in and that might explain it.

Second question - do I need to tell my insurance company if I've changed tyres?
 
I'm looking to purchase 4 452's cheapest I found them is 67 for the 225's 109 for the 255's plus 18 delivery 370 quid??? Anybody know cheaper???
