It's looking like a growth industry lately, shame we can't send a pulse of something up the spam line & hit them where it hurts (their wallets) :thumbsdown:

I was thinking the other day we should consider a CAPTCHA but they're so annoying it would probably put many of contributing entirely.

I thought you had to register on the forum to post. Therefore it only needs a tighter registration approval system ( Photo of your zed, etc) and then it wouldn't affect your day to day posting. ????
 
Another car forum I'm on won't let new members post straight away, they have to wait a few days (3 I think) before posting and we've never had any problems with spamming.

The enthusiasts don't mind waiting as they can read the forum, but spammers will look elsewhere for an easier target.

Good idea, I wonder how hard it would be to do that. What's CAPTCHA ?
 
CAPTCHA is a term used for those retarded blurred images that purport to show a word or phrase that normal mortals cannot read!

So in simple terms, a CAPTCHA is a F*cking PITA - I'd be out of here forever if that becomes an essential.......! :headbang: :thumbsdown: :evil: :P :x
