Is it just me?

omg, did aj really say that? I think I am sounding like socal.....

um, I love top down on backroads, but on the freeway's its a bit harsh after an hour or so.

The M Sport Seats actually are better than I thought they would be on a long trip. I took my Emma to Banff and back last month (~10 hours each way, total of about 1500 miles).

Must have been a great run Rick.

I've done the CDN Rockies several times;
most fun was when we took the 914/6 out... it was a blast.

I'd LOVE the get the Z out there :D :D :D

BTW... you ever post pics of that run???
 
I should. I took some nice pics that I was considering for the photo contests. The one that won me last month was from there. :)

Hmmm... we should do a Rockies meet sometime. Calgary's a short distance from Banff too, for those that want to do some metropolitan sightseeing.
 
I must confess. I only had my back complaint on the way up to cali. the way back my er back didn't hurt at all. I didn't do it with top down....that because i wanted better gas mileage

It took me this long to get what you were talking about there.... MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER GIRL!!!

I normally have to pee about once every hour when I travel. I drink lots of fluids when I travel (keeps my throat from drying out from all the singing along to Jimmy Buffett). So a bigger bottle is required to hold all of those fluids when my body is done with them. I wasn't saying that I needed a BIG opening for... um... well... you can figure that one out. The bigger openings do make it easier though to accomplish the relief act on the highway (don't ever try to use a standard water bottle!... well, unless your THAT small).
 
About a week after I got my car last spring I took it on a 1600 mile break in road trip from Vancouver, WA down to the Bodega Bay area in Northern CA along US 101/CA1 and back. I didn't do this as a marathon drive however and took plenty of rest stops as well as photo breaks over the course of 6 days. I posted a travelogue with pictures on the old Z4um but the site server went belly up a couple of days after I got home and the trip diary went along with it......

Some of the rougher sections of CA Hwy 1 were a little harsh with the OEM RFT tires but my back never had any issues with the interior comfort at all.

Thanks AJ for clarifying. I'll be in therapy because of this. My parents used to threaten this when we would go on family road trips....it terrorized us girls......thanks for the memory.
