Does anyone else find that they have to go about 5 notches on the handbrake before it takes effect? :?

Did have that problem before the Zed was serviced and the brake fluid changed. Now its 3 clicks to full on...

Although the double yankers will no doubt have a theory..

If it needs 5 clicks, it probably needs a bit of adjustment.

I keep the button pressed when lifting the handbrake. It's like your mum telling you to lift rather than drag your chair - general ware and tare. Call me stupid but I've always done it since I did my IAM course.

always makes me cringe when i hear handbrakes being yanked on :thumbsdown:

X3 always press the button before applying handbrake, the way I was taught, old school perhaps but seems right.

Same here, my driving instructor had a fit when I once "clicked" the brake on.

apart from anything else, not pressing the button sounds awful

mine used to be ok, now needs a 'double pull' to be confidence inspiring, must get it looked at...
