Right ladies and gentlemen now I have your attention

I have got a slight issue when pulling away from standstill; it almost sounds like something in the driveline is moving..
I have tried Googling this and there's plenty of info for the M's in terms of mounts but struggling to find relevant info for a 3.0si.

It also happens when I back off of the throttle, so sounds like the driveline shifts forwards again.

My car is a 3.0si Coupe, manual with standard diff.

Has anyone had something similar?

If it is mounts, be it engine, gearbox or diff.. What replacement mounts would you go for? Was thinking Poly for the diff but OEM for the rest?

Thanks, oh and sorry again for the crude title but it kinda fits with the subject :D

It's probably slop in the drive train. I'd have a look at your doughnut first ;) by this I mean the bush thatcconnects your diff to the prop shaft... If that's knackered it'll be allowing plenty of slop...

The Guibo (prop / gearbox connecting rubber) would be a good place to start, and if that's ok, take a look at the diff input flange.

If you think the Zed is bad you should have tried the original lotus élan from the 60's !
