Is EZ wheel brush the best?

Many people on detailing world forum highly recommend EZ wheel brush. Does anyone here have one? I want a brush to clean the whole wheel, not just the spokes and visible areas (I use AG wheel brush). It is quite expensive investment for a brush (£20).

Won't do the whole wheel, ie not the face. But on my ellipsoids it gets into the crevasses well and cleans to the very back of the wheel, I use a mf cloth for the face of the wheel. I'm using bilberry wheel cleaner and very happy with them both. I thought it was pricey too but a year on the brush is in very good shape, not deformed or worn as yet, but then I only do my car with it every 3 weeks

I've just bought one of these and they are quite good, one major drawback is you get showered with spray every time and also the handle feels as though it won't last 5 minutes  I recommend these Halfords brushes...

It currently takes me an hour just to clean 4 wheels before the car wash. And I have to use my hand to rub the dirt off from the back of the wheel. AG wheel brush is good for the face, but not useful for other areas. The 5-spoke wheels on my Zed are very similar to your ellipsoids. I need the brush that can insert between the wheel and brake (gap is less than 1").

Ive used a couple of meguiars soft spoke brushes, silverline megs replica which the end comes straight of and is dangerous unless you tape it up well to stop scrtaching and now using the EZ detail brush.
Other than the handle starts to become somewhat limp wristed its the best ive ever had.
Do bare in mand im working on cars every day so all my kit etc gets fair old useage compaerd to 1-2 times a week.
My advice, get on or failing that a daytona wheel brush which Ron @ motorgeek sells, supposedly a touch strudier so will be my next brush choice.
For fascias I use swissvax style brushes which I get loads from a brush supplier so if anyones wanting any give me the nod

EZ wheel brush here  great between the spokes of an Alpina Dynamic wheel. I particularly like the way it goes between the caliper and the wheel to clean all the way to the inside edge of my 9.5'' wide mag.

Link below to extra long wheel brushes from Razeglaze;

Used to good effect on my E92 and Zed

ksher - bought the Halfords brush last week, conincidently same as Flimper's link and it's has worked a treat on my Ellipsoids.

It was a complete pain cleaning the wheels before, and I used my hands to get into the back of the wheels as well. Don't do this! - I cut my hands doing so (step in therapy for car obsession!). Have quite small hands, and knuckles were wrecked after. The looped Halfords brush cleaned the back of the wheels pretty easily. For the face of the wheels, I use an old sponge that's really malleable.

Oakandacorns - I've used the looped Halfords brush before I got one from Raceglaze. Halfords brushes are OK but they rust fairly quickly and the point where the twisted wire is embedded in the blue handle so make sure you hang it up to dry to get it to last longer.

Nothing to rust on the Halfords brush I use. The only problem was the handle broke but lasted a decent amount of time, more sturdy than the EZ brush

Must have changed the design since my last purchase.

Mine too.

It was a wire twist that goes into the plastic handle and it rotted in just a few months - dispite hanging it up to dry between uses.
Using a Megs Ultra Safe Wheel Brush now and the joint between brush & handle has also started to soften.

Will be looking for something different next time around (EZ Wheel / Daytona)

AlanJ - thanks for the heads-up. I had hung it up to let it air and dry thoroughly. Just been out to grab the brush - can't see clearly whether the wire twist is made of metal, but I suspect it could be metal on the underside. :)
