IS CLAYING WORTH IT FOR ME?

I was doubtful about claying as Id never done it before - but OMG did it make a difference 
As I understand it you wash, then clay, wash the polish and wax and seal etc...
Clay is designed to clear the surface of all contaminants and will therefore remove any waxes/polishes etc...

Yes, claying is worth it... it is really easy and only takes about 30 mins...
Since you have already laid a coat of wax down, you should do a IPA after your next wash before you clay the car, then a quick polish (if needed) then lay down your wax. You will really notice how smooth and slick your finish is then...

Starting to think I should clay it, cheers for the comment.

Deciding whether to clay? Depends on how your paintwork looks. Silver always shows up bits of tar, etc so perhaps worth doing if you've got any showing. Remember that preparation is the most important part of detailing a car!
I use Sonus green clay, quite a mild clay. A also use Meguairs Quik Clay as it's a bit more abrasive and better at getting bigger bits of tar off the paintwork. I use a solution of Johnsons Baby Shampoo in water in a spray bottle, works fine for me.

in water in a spray bottle, works fine for me.As above its worth it for the finish you get amazing my Z was in for her inspection 1 the other week and the young lady that worked there commented on the condition of the car and that when she felt the paint how her hand slid of the car.

well, if you`ve already polished the car with a grinding material, all those little things stuck on the clear coat shold be off by now. the clay bar appends those tar stains (and other things they are 
) without grinding the clear coat. the right steps would be- claying (to remove tar stains and so on), polishing the car with a grinding product (the part which when the machine is used. mind that you sould have the knowladge and equipment to do it right, with out taking the clearcoat away) to remove swirl marks, wax it and seal it.
if youve already done the car with a grinding product ("the polish") your paint sould be in the "post clay" step. look closely at the paint, do you see black and rusty spots? you can use the "plastic bag test" as well. take a plastic bag, put it on the car and slide your hand inside (hand moves, bag stays, you dont want to scratch the car) the car should be smooth, if not, your paint will show result after calying.
