Is Boris loosing the plot

I saw some of his speech today in front of a group of business leaders in Tyne and Wear, he lost his way during his presentation, shuffled his notes in a very flustered manner and then waffled on about a Peppa Pig theme park on the south coast.

Is the pressure getting to him?

Ps. I have no political affiliations of any kind - I don’t trust any of them!

I think his personality is more suited to being on the offensive to be honest... mocking others, picking holes in people etc... When he has to be serious he comes unstuck and often seems to try and inject humour where it's not appropriate, and that goes down like a lead balloon. I imagine the pressure is getting to him as well, so that makes it even worse.

I see him as being a bit like Churchill, a Prime Minister for a purpose (in his case the war). Boris has been here for Brexit and for Covid, and once we see the back of Covid (to whatever extent) it'll be time for a new PM (from whatever party) for the next chapter.

P.S. If anyone drags this topic back to Brexit, they get a ban!

I think he's been losing the plot since well before puberty...maybe went loopy once his wet nurse was sacked?

It was part of his charm...until he got into a position of power :P

It's always easier to criticise someone else's policies and ideas than create your own, Boris is an entertainer, is he really someone you want leading a country? I just find him wanting.

This.
He was always a bumbling idiot though I do believe to some extent part of that is a ploy.

Boris displays the same bumbling idiot characteristics as the Krankie from the other stupid party, the SNP, perhaps they both have similar genes

Boris is not a bumbling idiot, he has just 'adopted' the persona (don't know why).
He was my MP once (Henley-on-Thames) before he switched to Uxbridge (London Mayor job is my bet). He was friends with the people who own the Hotel my wife worked in at the time. She regularly spoke with him when he popped in and says he was very different to his current persona and a very straightforward, normal, nice bloke. He does come over as a bit of a tit nowadays, granted. :)

Remember, she had you for comparison. :P

He's nice for a reason,he wants to screw you.Pepa pig will come back to haunt him in the very near future. :D

I was listening to a behavioural scientist this morning on the news who was of the view that all this bumbling idiot with Boris is just a well rehearsed act. They argued that as a result of this performance he promised nothing but his main aim was to distract all media attention from Starmer who was giving Labours speech to the CBI in Birmingham. Can anyone tell me what Starmers speech contained or recall any MSM coverage? Its argued that it is a distraction technique when things go wrong elsewhere which does him little or no actual damage. Dom Cummings used the same "Dead Cat" technique.

PS It doesn't really matter what Boris does or says anymore, it's Carrie and her mates that's running the country.

I don't trust any of them and I come from a Labour heartland but voted for the conservatives, he is just using this to cover up other stuff.

Take a look at Labour, first Corbyn who is about as electable as dog dirt and now Captain hindsight with his mate Corporal chaos in Wales.

We actually a common sense party for the people, I am sure all of us could make a good government - Who's up for it

There doesn’t seem to be anyone in power anywhere at the moment that has any idea want they’re doing.

Excuse me, but my fiancée would take umbrage at that, she knows exactly what's she doing and if I have any sense, so do I.

Totally agree, I used to be a SNP supporter in Scotland and thought we had a very competent government on the whole however the unbelievable amount of authoritarianism as of late as well as the abolition of free speech and the pushing of ultra left wing gender ideology on kids I completely checked out. Fk knows who I'd vote for now. :headbang:

Apparently the best way to show displeasure is write "none of the above" on your ballot paper. Not voting doesn't help. If enough ballots show displeasure it will make the establishment take notice. I've not tried it but may do next time :)

As someone who has been a polling agent and counting agent in multiple elections, I'd disagree. That would just be a "spoiled" ballot and counted as such, what's on them isn't read by anyone as no one cares what's written on them.

Wonder what would happen if they held an election and nobody voted? Perhaps then they would take notice.

For the first time ever, if nothing changes between now and the next election (Which I suspect it won't) then I will not be voting.
