Is BMW's IPOD USB Cable Made Of Gold

Having bought a an IPOD USB cable from a well known internet retailer and found it looses connectivity and the sound quality is poor. I decided enough was enough and went and bought one from BMW for the rediculous sum of £49!

Now I appreciate the German economy has been proping up the Euro for some time, but passing this responsibility on to me in one hit when all I want to do is use a standard bit of kit is taking the mickey.

Ive always defended BMW to my work colleagues as being no more expensive to run than less prestigous marques when taking all things into account, but my faith has been somewhat shaken to say this least.

Maybe its an age thing and reaching mid 40s has turned me into a miser? :x

Yes to the subject and yes to aged miser ;)

I have one, I was ripped off just like most BMW products, but it does work.

I must admit that it may be expensive but it does work.

My 9 year old son's not too impressed as he now has to listen to his dad's 80s collection. lol!

There are copies out there that work but how many do you try to get to one

The BMW ,as Maniac says ,it does work out the box and will go on working

BMWs are expensive cars :o

I have a BMW version and I also risked an Amazon version a year ago and it is absolutely perfect and used in Z4 with an iPhone and Apple lightning adapter

can somebody post a link...?? i have a iphone 4 at the moment and picking up my z4 in 10 day....it has the usb and jack input and also some enhanced cradle thing which i think i can buy an adapter for......any links to how these things work?? i like to play podcasts and stuff....do i have to pu them into a specific playlist or something like i did on my honda??

thanks

You get what you pay for. I recently changed all my TV/accessory HDMI cables for the cheap ones that come with the equipment to ones at £76 each - picture quality and sound now significantly improved.

This the generic ,I have tested back to back with the genuine article and works perfectly
Use generic in Z4 and the genuine in X1 and previously 120d

Always thought HDMi was digital and made up of 1's and 0's therefore it worked or it didn't. Coax and other cables especially speaker cable is a different story however.
