Is anyone breaking a Z4M?

I may, following research on the forum, have found a solution to the problem! Apparently, the actual internals (motor etc) of the fans are the same as six-cylinder E60/E61, only the plastic shroud is different.
I can get a brand new one for £265 incl. VAT
I may pursue that avenue instead now unless Joycey has a cheap one.

The thing is, if you look up on realoem, BMW Maindealer price for an E60 is actually the same!
But, here’s the real twist! Sytner’s Wolverhampton quoted £630 for the part. A quick call to Lloyd BMW Carlisle revealed that the actual price is £556 incl. VAT. Sytner’s are cheating wankers! Why do they do this? They quoted £2000 to change the fan and one O2 sensor!!!! :x
I have owned BMWs for 42 years now….and for four decades Sytner’s have had an appalling reputation in the BMW fraternity. How have they kept their franchise?
BTW the “fitted” part on these cars takes all of 5 minutes …even for me to do. It involves undoing about 6 plastic push-fit screws, 3 torx heads and two snap-on electrical connectors. There is essentially or almost “no fitting” involved. A 10 year old child could do it!
