Iridium spark plugs info needed

I’ll give them a try ,don’t know when they were last changed . Fitted iridium to my sons mini and it felt sharper and ran a bit cleaner so we’ll see how the Z goes

From what I have read, iridium plugs will give a much longer service life, but this does not necessarily mean they give better performance that you will notice. If your current plugs are worn, then any correctly fitted and gapped plug will perform better. Always make sure you torque the plugs correctly as this seals the plug and aligns the electrode to the correct position.

I find iridium plugs better value for money and order from AutoDoc when they are heavily discounted.

In all my years of tinkering with cars I've never seen any performance difference from changing plugs - or fixed an engine issue by changing them either to be honest!

Too late they are on there way , I was led to believe iridium ones spark easier/more efficiently, and put less strain on the electrical side of things . Just need to find torque setting for the plugs

I think they came about for those engines like in Bentley or Rolls where you have to strip half the engine down to replace.
I assume those manufactures probably claimed they are good for 100k miles, lazy mares.
So started out as expensive plugs.
