The audio fidelity isn't near as nice as what you get when you add something like the DICE interface but you should have this interface.
How can the audio fidelity not be as nice? As long as the music on your ipod or other mp3 player is stored at a good quality it should play back at good quality quality. After all isn't it all digital audio?
Good in should be good out but crap in can't help but be crap out!
Not sure what you are listening to or what your audio standards are but I have tried using the AUX in my car as a direct comparison to the DICE and while I also am not fond of the DICE interface the audio signal was night and day. I personally wouldn't even bother bringing my iPod along if all I had was the AUX interface. All of my iPod material is recorded with Apple Lossless format and my listening goal is to have at least CD quality playback. I have no use for MP3 audio compression for anything beyond sampling music on websites before I buy the CD.
I am more than willing to pay for quality in my audio playback experience.
