Tried to find who posted this topic sometime ago...

But I just happened to find a First Generation iPod at home...and it's part of a recall and it gets replaced with a brand new one. I remember seeing someone post on here about it, which made me think about it.

So whoever did, thanks very much!!!

Thanks Woody, I did try to look for your initial post. Thanks a lot mate

Do you know which one it will get relaxed with? Do you think it will be the latest generation one?

I think I might have posted that even earlier. It is replaced with the latest gen 8 Gb unit.

Only problem - it no longer charges on a Bose sound dock which is a bit of a pain.

Not sure which one they're 'relaxing' it with... :)

In all seriousness, I think it'll be the 6th Gen 8gb in silver from all the research I did. The 7th would be great but can't see that happening...

Can't complain though!! Glad I could be of help mate : )

Id like either. But to be honest I am disappointed the new one isn't on iCloud.....it means I have to plug it into a laptop each time. And it's all I use my laptop for anymore....bit of a waste.....

Cool - I have one of these kicking around somewhere. Nice one stark and Woo7dy

Try a Scosche adapter

I have one in the car, but bit of a pain as it is bigger than a new iPod!

Just a closure to this, I sent off the battered 4GB crappy battery 1st Gen Nano I got for £20 and just received this today:

It's a 6th Gen 8GB silver Nano :) In all it took 5 weeks from applying, to arriving on my doorstep...happy days.

Someone must be making a few £££ out of this, ie buying used 1st Gen's on eBay/Gumtree to get a 6th Gen and then selling that on (for about £80), as there is no limit on this. Can I be bothered? Naaaa!

Was hoping for the new 7th Gen as a replacement but apparently they've got loads of these left over, I'm not complaining though!
