iPod interface (OEM) retrofit Z4 coupe

Hi all,

I've just bought a used iPod interface (P/N: 65 11 0 392 130) thinking I could just DIY retrofit it to my UK 2007 Z4 Coupe - is that the case or does something needs coding in order for it to work?

I have the standard Business CD so does that mean the cable is already in place in the centre console where the CD changer would go?

I have seen guides for taking the centre console out for the roadster, but I think it may be easier to get to it by taking the boot lining out? Not sure whether this differs between coupe and roadster.

Thanks all,

Alex

Alex,

I wasn't able to find that part number on RealOEM to see which kit it is and if it's compatible with the Z4. I did a DIY installation of P/N 65 11 0 035 961 in my US spec 2006 Z4M Coupe with NAV and it was a fairly easy process. Everything mounted behind the dashboard and you didn't need to worry about the center console or boot. There is a descriptive thread on the process with instructions and pictures here http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=297113
