iPod/Gateway 100 feedback with engine revs

Hi there

I recently had a Gateway 100 fitted but there is a whining noise coming through the speakers which increases or decreases with the engine revs.
The place that fitted it is telling me they have never had such problems... just wondering if anyone has an idea what could be causing it?

Change the earth connection first to a different location. Sounds like a ground loop.

EDIT: Thought there was someone else had this issue but can't find the thread now.

Failing something simple like the connection, as PVR said the earth is a good place to start. If you want to have a look at this yourself the only thing you need is the air vent removal guide and some patience.
