Hi,

I know this discussion has had many comments in the past its just im getting a little confused reading all the options!

I have a 2006 pre faclift with cd autochanger

So the options I believe are:
Intravee kit
BMW link cable
BMW kinda jack type cable with no control
Parrot car kit

Think im leaning towards the Parrot MI9200 just a couple of questiond first please!

Is the intravee kit only for cars with navigation? Excluded it in my reading due to this

Will my CD autochanger still work with the Parrot?

Want to keep the price under £200 if possible and not too keen on the idea of having to alter some or the wiring for the BMW ones to keep the autochanger working.

Thanks for any help, pretty much set on the Parrot I think

Al

i have just fitted the parrot mki9200 in my 03 z4 you will need a adapter lead to go in between the parrot and radio as the parrot lead comes with iso connectors but is simple plug and play and you can keep the cd changer i didn't bother as mine has a vice like grip on the changer cartridge and doesn't want to give it up,another option i done on a previous z4 was a denison lead i had the gateway 100 which is ipod only and was easy to fit it will show artist name and track in the radio and sound was very good but you can't have cd changer with it

Is there some reason you aren't considering the Dice Mediabridge? It's $251 (£153) on Amazon.com. What about the Dice Silverline Duo? It's as cheap as $63 (£38) online. I wouldn't waste my money on the BMW cable, as it has limited control/connection options.

I have installed the Mediabridge 1500 and can vouch for its features. It keeps the car stereo's stock appearance. The Parrot does not.

The Intravee is not just for cars with Nav, the E46 business radio is fuctionally identical to the Z4.
