iPod connection in 2010E89

Hi, new to this but would appreciate any advice. I connect my iPod nano via the USB socket. All works well. However, when searching Artists on head unit, it will only show one or two albums by an artist, songs from missing albums are there but only available as ' various albums' . Anyone else encountered this? Is there a remedy? Thanks all.

Do they appear as full / proper albums on iTunes?
Are they original downloads from iTunes? I ask because if they are made up from songs to an album then the properties data may be different, even if the data has been added automatically there may still be discrepancies within it. All of which are worth checking out. If the info is all correct then there should be no reason for your head unit not to recognise it properly as it only takes the info its supplied from the iPod.

Hi, thanks for the reply. All albums are iTunes downloads. HU shows one album title and when scrolling down, the only option is 'various albums' but tracks seem to be randomly organised! I'll keep trying.
Regards,
Glenn

Hi, no, they are not compilations and all seems okay on iTunes. If I only connect with an aux lead all albums are visible on iPod.
Cheers.

Sorry bud, in that case then I'm out of ideas there.
Hmmmm, that's really strange, obviously, they should show up properly then if they are all from the original source, original albums and show up properly in iTunes then there is no reason as to why they shouldn't show properly on your head unit. :|

The metadata of a music track, ie the header , non music info, is defined in various informal and formal standards..

The support for extended meta data varys greatly. So it’s well known for example that playlists are not supported by many car units...in addition other media players vary..so for example my brand new Sony TV does not show album cover pictures when playing but my 3 year old Samsung TV does. Both these support my playlists but my Mini and Volvo don’t both 65 plates but my Z4 2012 MY does...
