iPod aux engine interferance

When I purchased my z4 it already had an iPod kit wired in, a 30 pin Apple connector that played and charged iPods and iPhones. Previous owner told me it was a Denison product. No problem with it over the last 18 months but recently I've noticed there's a slight humming noise that disappears as the revs increase. Soon as I'ms idling again, it's back. This doesn't happen on the radio input either. First thoughts are some sort of grounding issue? Is there a guide on accessing the CD changer from the boot?

If it is a Dension then the CD changer has to be disconnected. The actual Dension unit will be behind the radio and it plugs into the radio loom. From memory there is a voltage setting of some sort with the Dension. I can't remember what it was for though but could easily be for interference. I will see if I have my old manual around still.

I do have a copy of the manual still. If you PM me your email address Ill send you a copy.

In the meantime this is what I was thinking of. It might help, under the setup menu.

Audio Level
Select from 4 audio output levels to match the iPod audio level with that of your head unit’s other audio
sources. 0.5V, 1.0V, 2.0V and 4.0V options are available.

Setup on the OBC / Sat Nav? Had a look in there and I don't have an Audio Level option?

PM'd you re manual, I guess I really need to remove the vents and confirm it's even a Denison...

Forgot to mention that the audio levels have always been low compared to the radio / CD.

This is on everything so it's not a case of bad EQing on the track's part.
