iPhone/iPod

Is there a single page (much like the FAQ) which contains all the iPod/iPhone compatibility info.

I'm trying to answer the question "will the intravee work with a 2006 Z4, with no sat nav i.e. CD radio". I find loads of answers via searching but so many of them remain unanswered with people saying things like "I'll start another thread for non-sat nav people" yet not linking to it (arrrrgghh).

Just wondered

Yes but if you don't have nav there are cheaper and better suited options available to you, e.g. Dice

What he said ^^^^^

Without the nav screen any advantage in having the intravee is negated, so best to stick to a cheaper alternative....

Dice, Connects2 etc

I've had my 2006 Z4M Roadster for a few months now and I'm still trying to find the best bit of kit that will play the music/podcasts etc on my iphone 4. The car has the phone kit, sat nav system/screen and the DSP upgrade. BMW option is a non-starter. I was going to go for the Dice Silverline with the phone mounted on the windscreen so I could just use the phone for music selection but now not so sure after seeing your suggestion of the Intravee - help! :?

Intravee all the way if you have Nav Screen. You can use your iphone but better option is to buy a 2nd hand Ipod Classic and leave it in the cubby/boot. I picked a mint 80gb classic for about £65 IIRC. MP3 id tags on screen, contol using MFSW, a doddle to install, and a lot more.
Lots of posts in the "Audio system + phones" forum. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

If your just wanting to play music and charge why not just buy a cheap lead of eBay
I have the 30 pin plug that splits into 1 USB and 1 audio jack it cost £4 add a 12 v USB charger and away you go for less than £10
