iPhone Holder?

Hi Guys

I am lucky enough to have one of the latter Z4's with the build in aux input, and I currently use a small stubby mp3 connector that plugs straight into my iphone for my tunes. But every time I go round a bend a little quick it flings the iphone onto the floor and disconnects! So I am now on the look out for a iphone holder which ideally sits fairly close to the aux input, has anyone had any luck finding such a thing? I've had the ventilation fitted phone holders before and they are a nightmare, and I don't really want to mount anything else on my windscreen as I already have the sat nav on there and I hate clutter! It would be an added bonus if I could find a cable which charges the ipod at the same time, another frustration with the aux input I'm having!

Any help much appreciated

Cheers

Pete

I use a brodit holder. Bit expensive but look good and are solid. If you want I can take a photo of mine to give you an idea of how it looks.

Thanks Sean, that would be really helpful. The Brodit looks good, perhaps you can advise as to which one you bought as there seems to be about 5 to choose from!

Here you go (I should have cleaned the iPhone screen!)

The mount I have is Item No. 653655. And the holder is the one for the iPhone 4 . I would recommend getting one with a swivel as it can be handy when using the phone as a satnav to put it sideways.

I use this one, works great and you can easily fast forward and rewind music on it, seems very stable

That looks ideal Sean, thanks for the pics - now go clean that iphone screen!

Cheers to the others that have contributed to this thread

Hi

I have the oem snap in cradle for the centre console which is great although it did need some customisation to get the phone to pop in and out smoothly. This charges and improves reception & bluetooth connection no end. I then use an oldy worldy iPod with connection to stereo via glove box so all is out of site. Can control iPod thru stereo/steering wheel buttons. Don't know if that's an option?

Got this a few weeks ago ! Perfect !

Bought this from ebay a while back. Made by a company called Arkon. Keeps it near the aux input and doesn't obstruct the windscreen.

Also have one of these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170603505870) which is really steady and has holes (not shown in pic) for the camera so you can film on-board videos.

Can't beat it. Had equivalent pro clip for my type R and GTI and can't fault them at all.

Does that get in the way of the passenger's legs at all?

I bought one of these proclip holders a few weeks ago - the part that slots into the dashboard broke off, waste of money for me
